Swedish Massage

Why Massage?

Therapeutic massage is a gentle therapy that can relieve pain and stress, increase mobility, restore proper postural alignment, reduce acute and chronic pain symptoms, improve immune function, relieve painful joints, prevent the onset of injury, improve circulation and create a balanced, pain free lifestyle. In some cases, massage therapy may even eliminate the need for prescription drugs and surgery!

How do you Know if Massage Therapy is Appropriate?

Massage therapy applied to healthy tissues is always beneficial and pleasant. When an injury or chronic pain patterns are present, there may be some discomfort, particularly during your initial visit. This will lessen within minutes after treatment begins. If you have a specific condition or are currently taking medication, it is important to share that information with your massage therapist. It is also recommended that you inform your primary care or treating physician that are receiving massage therapy. Your massage therapist at Optimal Health Group will always be able to inform you as to whether or not massage is appropriate for certain conditions.

What To Expect

At Optimal Health Group, you may always expect to be able to make an appointment within one week. There is no waiting for weeks at a time for pain relief. We will do our best to accommodate your busy schedule. You may also expect sincere, professional, and complete care from our staff at all times. Please feel free to share any concerns or suggestions to our staff so that we may create a relaxing, soothing, nurturing environment for you and your needs.

Insurance Reimbursement

Workers compensation will most often cover massage therapy. With a prescription from your primary care physician or the physician treating your specific injury, your job-related accidents will be accepted and reimbursable through our office. At the present time, very few insurance companies cover massage therapy. Please check with your insurance carrier for their current policies regarding your particular plan.
