Corrective Exercise
Many conditions are brought on by a muscular imbalance. Tightness, tension, contracture and/or stress in one muscle group and length and/or weakness in the opposing muscle group is an example of this imbalance.
The aim of Corrective Exercise, along with other techniques (i.e. NMT, AIS, etc.) is to “correct” the imbalance and restore proper length/tension ratios of the muscle groups. These types of movements are meant to correct a condition and eliminate pain syndromes, not to improve body composition.
Most everyone who comes through Optimal Health Group will receive some type of exercise program to facilitate, enhance and accelerate their healing process.
